Ukrtelecom

Ukrtelecom is the biggest Ukrainian operator of wired communications. Ukrtelecom actively develops new services, such as: 3G mobile communications, ADSL Internet access and many more.
Ukrtelecom Joint Stock Company is the advanced enterprise with the developed infrastructure that holds leading position in the field of fixed telephony market of Ukraine. The Company covers about 71% of the local telephony market and 83% of long-distance and international telephony market.
The history of Ukrtelecom foundation originated in 1993 when there was registered the Ukrainian Telecommunication Corporation UKRELEKTROZVIAZOK (since 1994 – Ukrtelecom). Later, in 1998, according to the Program approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Ukrtelecom Corporation was reorganized into the unified state enterprise and, after having been corporatized in January 2000, it was transformed into a joint stock company.

Now, the organizational structure of Ukrtelecom JSC is built subject to the principle of vertical management of finances, technical processes and staff. The Company incorporates 32 branches, one of which, Utel, was incorporated in 2005 by the decision of the General Shareholders’ Meeting.
