Ocean Shipyard

The Nikolaev Ship Building Factory Ocean has been founded in 1951. It is one of the largest enterprises in a ship-building branch of Ukraine. In September, 2000 a control share holding of Ship Building Factory Ocean has been got by the Dutch firm Damen Shilyards Groups.

Specialization of Ocean is manufacture of large-capacity vessels of panama's type. Ocean became the second ship-building enterprise of the Dutch company gotten in the northwest Black Sea region in order to develop the manufacture of vessels with deadweight up to 50 thousand of tons (the company is the leading world manufacturer of tows and special vessels which deadweight is up to 15 thousand tons).
